Native mobile app for iOS & Android

Today the web app works in any mobile browser — your library, highlights, and flashcards are all there. What this request tracks is a real native app for iOS and Android, which would also unlock highlighting on iPad where Chrome extensions can't run.

This is officially in the works! A first working Android version already runs on my phone: share any article from any app into Web Highlights, sign in on the page if the site needs it, then highlight it in the reader or save it to your reading list — with a touch-first highlighter designed for phones instead of a squeezed desktop UI. iOS is planned next. I won't promise dates, but this is what I'm building right now — your votes help me prioritize what the app should do first.

Progress update: the groundwork just shipped. Version 13.0.36 rebuilt the whole phone experience for touch — a bottom nav dock (Home, Library, Search, Learning), a bottom action bar when you select text, drag-away sheets for notes, tags and colors, a phone dashboard with a "Continue reading" card, and reading progress that syncs across your devices. You get all of that today in your mobile browser. The Android app itself runs and is being prepared for the Play Store; iOS follows after it. Still no dates from me, but this is the part that was always going to take the longest, and it's done.
