Folders, sub-collections & more ways to organize

Done Requested Shipped in v13.0.7 →

Create folders and sub-collections inside your library, so you can group related pages, PDFs, and highlights the way you organize your own projects.

What you can do

  • Nested collections work like folders and subfolders — create collections inside collections for a real hierarchy
  • Drag and drop bookmarks into collections, and drag collections to reorder or nest them
  • Combine collections with tags to organize highlights and bookmarks by topic, project, or course
  • Pick the target collection right when you save a new bookmark

Shipped! Nested collections give you exactly this folder-like structure: create collections inside collections, drag and drop bookmarks between them, and browse the whole tree in the sidebar. Together with tags you can organize by topic, project, or course. This was the single most-requested feature in our surveys — thank you for pushing it.

“It would be great if I can organize my highlights in a folder/sub folder like structure. Tags are great but they do not provide a systematic relations of highlights.”
