Updates from the maker
Half of this is live in 13.0.40. AI Chat now answers in the language you read Web Highlights in — ask in German about an English article and you get German back. AI summaries got a Language option in the summary's own menu, so you can regenerate an English page's summary in German, English, Spanish, French or Japanese; those are the five languages Chrome's on-device summarizer can write, which is why the other four interface languages aren't offered there yet. Still missing: a single place in the settings to set your AI language once, instead of choosing it per summary.
