You\n  should revisit your learnings when your ability to recall them has significantly declined, but not so frequently that\n  you find yourself starting from square one.\n\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>\n  But, how do we know when to review our learnings? Let’s take a look at the SuperMemo algorithm and how\n  \u003Ca href=\"https:\u002F\u002Fweb-highlights.com\u002F\" rel=\"noopener\">Web Highlights\u003C\u002Fa>\n  integrated it.\n\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Ch3 id=\"optimizing-review-timing-with-the-supermemo-algorithm\">\n  Optimizing Review Timing with the SuperMemo Algorithm\n\u003C\u002Fh3>\n\u003Cp>As we just learned, it’s vital to find the perfect timing to review your learnings.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>\n  The so-called\n  \u003Cstrong>SuperMemo\u003C\u002Fstrong>\n  algorithm is a spaced repetition learning method created by Piotr Woźniak, who needed a better way to learn\n  biochemistry and English vocabulary.\n\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>Think of the algorithm as a traditional flashcard learning method. Here's how it operates:\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Col>\n  \u003Cli>A new learning item is introduced.\u003C\u002Fli>\n  \u003Cli>The learning item undergoes its initial review.\u003C\u002Fli>\n  \u003Cli>\n    The user provides feedback on their recall of the information, indicating whether they remember or don't remember\n    it.\n  \u003C\u002Fli>\n  \u003Cli>\n    If the user successfully recalls the information, the algorithm extends the intervals before the next repetition,\n    aiming to reinforce the knowledge effectively.\n  \u003C\u002Fli>\n  \u003Cli>\n    Conversely, if the recall is weaker, the algorithm reduces the intervals to enhance reinforcement and improve\n    retention.\n  \u003C\u002Fli>\n\u003C\u002Fol>\n\u003Ch3 id=\"highlight-online-articles-and-remember-them\">Highlight Online Articles And Remember Them\u003C\u002Fh3>\n\u003Cp>\n  Let's put the theory aside and focus on incorporating\n  \u003Cstrong>spaced repetition\u003C\u002Fstrong>\n  and\n  \u003Cstrong>flashcard learning\u003C\u002Fstrong>\n  into your daily routine.\n\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>\n  I have been using the PDF &amp; Web Highlighter “Web Highlights” now for years, and I really love to highlight\n  important or interesting parts of articles. However, I realized that I rarely recall the highlighted information. Subsequently, the review cycle may extend to around 30 days, and so forth.\n\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>\n  However, if you cannot recall an item, your certainty will decrease and the cycle will restart. In such instances, the\n  item will be reviewed again on the following day.\n\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>\n  After around five successful repetitions, an item is to be considered as anchored in your long-term memory by the\n  \u003Cstrong>“Forgetting Curve.”\u003C\u002Fstrong>\n\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Ch3 id=\"track-your-progress-with-confidence-scores\">Track Your Progress with Confidence Scores\u003C\u002Fh3>\n\u003Cp>\n  Web Highlights derives a&nbsp;\n  \u003Cstrong>confidence score (0–100 %)\u003C\u002Fstrong>\n  &nbsp;from your easiness factor and number of repetitions. It’s a simple way to see where your knowledge is strong and where it needs more review.\n\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Ch3 id=\"learning-streaks\">Learning Streaks\u003C\u002Fh3>\n\u003Cp>\n  Consistency matters more than marathon sessions. Web Highlights tracks your&nbsp;\n  \u003Cstrong>learning streak\u003C\u002Fstrong>\n  &nbsp;— the number of consecutive days you have completed at least 10 cards. The learning dashboard shows your current\n  streak, your longest streak, and a contribution graph of your learning activity over time.\n\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>Even two or three minutes a day adds up.
