For example, adding an invoice to the Finance\n  area might seem logical, but it might make more sense to put it into the Project “Taxes 2024.”\n\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cblockquote>\n  \u003Cem>Areas\u003C\u002Fem>\n  are long-term responsibilities and activities that you want to manage over time.\n\u003C\u002Fblockquote>\n\u003Cp>This way, you’ll have the document readily available when you need it: during tax season for 2024.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>\n  \u003Cem>\n    💡\n    \u003Cstrong>Example\u003C\u002Fstrong>\n    : If you’re managing your personal finances, you could have an area named “Finances.” This area would include all of\n    your information for personal finance.\n  \u003C\u002Fem>\n\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Ch4 id=\"resources\">Resources\u003C\u002Fh4>\n\u003Cp>If your information doesn’t fit into a project and also not in an area, ask:\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cul>\n  \u003Cli>\u003Cstrong>Which resource does this belong to?\u003C\u002Fstrong>\u003C\u002Fli>\n\u003C\u002Ful>\n\u003Cp>\n  \u003Cem>Resources\u003C\u002Fem>\n  are a catchall for anything that doesn’t belong to a project or an area and could include any topic you’re interested\n  in. This could be a resource like productivity, note-taking, or studying.\n\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>\n  Similar to\n  \u003Cem>Areas\u003C\u002Fem>\n  , you should always try to put information into projects first.\n\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>\n  \u003Cem>\n    💡\n    \u003Cstrong>Example\u003C\u002Fstrong>\n    : If you read a lot about improving your productivity, you could create the “Productivity Tips.” Then you can put\n    everything you read about productivity into this folder.\n  \u003C\u002Fem>\n\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Ch4 id=\"archives\">Archives\u003C\u002Fh4>\n\u003Cp>\n  The Archive stores things that are either done or no longer in use. We usually archive projects because they have a\n  clear end date, but resources often get archived too.\n\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cblockquote class=\"kg-blockquote-alt\">Remember, anything in the Archive isn’t&nbsp;lost!&nbsp;\u003C\u002Fblockquote>\n\u003Cp>\n  In the digital world, you can still easily find everything with a quick search. So, it’s always a good idea to move\n  things to the Archive to keep your Second Brain organized.&nbsp;\n\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>\n  Forte even recommends starting by archiving everything to give yourself a clean slate.
