Pretty soon, it got much faster, more dependable, and a lot more fun to use. People loved it, judging by\n  their feedback.\n\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>Create something amazing and people will talk about it. Growth will follow. Slowly but steadily.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cblockquote>\n  Trying to avoid mistakes at all costs, or pretending that mistakes never happen, is not a viable strategy. I don’t like putting myself out there and posting stuff about things most of my LinkedIn friends don’t even care\n  about. At least that’s what it often feels like for me.\n\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>\n  If you’re a solopreneur like me, you might feel the same way. Still, I can only emphasize the importance of building\n  an online audience.\n\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>\u003Cstrong>Get out of your comfort zone and start creating value. After one year, there were only 10 users. Why would you create documentation for a tool no one uses?\n\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>\n  I am not saying you should create documentation the moment you spin off your new side project and validate your idea.\n  However, you should not miss the point when your idea turns into business.\n\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>That’s the point where you should document every single process to not make your business completely rely on you.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>\u003Cstrong>I have missed that point.\u003C\u002Fstrong>\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cblockquote>\n  If you don’t document how your business works, how will someone be able to run it without you? Probably like most solopreneurs it didn’t make sense to me to write documentation for a project only I\n  was working on. Honestly, even if someone had told me, I likely wouldn’t have listened.\n\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>The points I failed to grasp were that by not writing documentation:\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cul>\n  \u003Cli>\u003Cstrong>you’re shutting the door for others to work on the project\u003C\u002Fstrong>\u003C\u002Fli>\n  \u003Cli>\u003Cstrong>your business is much more valuable when well-documented, as it’s far more attractive to buy\u003C\u002Fstrong>\u003C\u002Fli>\n  \u003Cli>\u003Cstrong>documented processes help you save time and identify where things can be automated.\u003C\u002Fstrong>\u003C\u002Fli>\n\u003C\u002Ful>\n\u003Cp>\n  The first two points are crucial.
